Amazing views from almost every room, including eight windows in the living room, three in the master bedroom, three windows and a three paneled sliding glass door in the kitchen and a six bay window and large picture windows in the downstairs bedroom.

The living room has three large lakeside windows and a full row of windows on the north wall, comfortable seating, a small desk, and a Roku HDTV.

Dining Area and Kitchen

Kitchen and eat in dining area have fabulous lake views. Amenities include brand new (2024) gas range, side by side fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, and drip coffee maker. Indoor and outdoor plates. A full supply of pots and pans.

This bedroom has a king bed, a reading chair, east views of Cayuga Lake and Cornell University, and an attached bath.

Full Bedroom

This bedroom is downstairs next to the second full bathroom. It has six bay windows and a picture window with lake views. This room also has a small private desk and second Roku TV.

New! This bedroom (built in 2024) is off the living room. Includes two twin-sized beds, storage, and a window and skylight with blinds.

Lakeside Deck

Wonderful lakeside deck just off the kitchen allows for easy outdoor dining and a place to relax and enjoy the lake. The third picture is the Cornell crew team practicing. Natural gas BBQ.

Accessibility Notes

Please be aware that this home is not wheel chair accessible and there are a number of stairs that need to be navigated on the property.

The west shore of Cayuga lake is steep and so is our property. The driveway is steep with upper and lower parking. There are 28 stairs from upper parking and 35 steps from lower parking to the house. From the house there are stairs to the lake (35) but the view is spectacular and the local ideal.

Please look at the pictures below for full understanding of the steps required to reach the house from the upper and lower parking areas and to get to the waterfront.

Details and FAQs

Who Can Book?

You must be 28 years old. Please include all persons in your guest number count including infants and children. All adult guests must sign our license agreement, not just the primary booker.

Why Do I Need to Sign a Contract?

Reason One: We started renting short term before websites took credit cards. It was just strangers sending checks through the mail and the guests needed the reassurance. We continue because we like the safeguards.

Reason Two: We live in a college town and want to avoid college related issues.

Reason Three: If you follow Airbnb and Short Term Rental news, you have probably heard that many municipalities have imposed strict limitations or are planning to adopt such limitations. Among the problems is tenants that disturb neighbors by parking on their property, are noisy, and generally act inconsiderate. The Town of Ithaca has just imposed strict regulations and now we need to follow them.

Do all members of our group need to be able bodied?

Yes. We are sorry but the west shore of Cayuga Lake is very steep and so are our properties. All guests must be able-bodied and sure footed.

What time is Check In and Check Out?

Check in is 4:00 p.m. and check out is 11:00 a.m. You are welcome to ask for early or late check in (which is sometimes available during the winter) and we will accomodate you if possible.

What happens if I need assistance during our stay?

Please feel free to contact us during your stay. From time to time an issue will arise and we always respond as soon as possible.

Pet Policy

A $30 pet fee is required.

Will I Have Access to the Entire Property?

Yes! Guests have access to the entire property including the house, the dock, the deck, the grass by the water, Cayuga Lake, two kayaks, a canoe and life jackets.

What About Guests and Parties?

No additional visitors are allowed on the property without express written permission from the hosts in your agreement.

No parties. Strict noise rules apply (our listing is not for everyone!).

Winter Note

We deliver property with shoveled steps. Thereafter tenants are responsible for snow removal.

Guests may not be able to access the lower parking area, so all tenants must be able bodied and able to walk stairs easily.
